Hearing Aid Repairs:

We offer quick, low cost repairs on almost any hearing aid. If you think your hearing aid may need repair, even if you didn't buy it from us, we'll be happy to check and repair it if needed.

The hearing aid check is free, and many repairs can be done on-site quickly. Sometimes we can make the repair while you wait. Often the repair will take just a few days.

Comprehensive Hearing Tests:

Our licensed audiologist or hearing instrument specialist will use the our state-of-the-art test system and sound-proof booth to test your hearing.  This evaluation tests your ability to hear the softest sounds for a variety of tones, and your speech understanding ability for words presented at a normal listening level. The complete test suite helps us to determine the type of hearing loss you have or whether you might have a possible medical condition which would necessitate a referral to a physician. By the evaluation, we can determine whether hearing aid and what type would be beneficial to you.

Hearing Consultation & Education:

We  want to make sure anyone with hearing loss understand that they don’t have to live with hearing loss anymore, and nobody needs to know they are wearing hearing aids. For this reason, Hearing of America encourages anyone who thinks they may have a hearing loss to sign up for a hearing screening and consultation.

Because we believe so strongly in making sure people with hearing loss get the attention they deserve, there is no cost for these services. The best case scenario is that they don’t have a hearing loss and we now have a good baseline test to compare to for future tests.

If we find that the patient does have hearing loss, we can then begin our counseling process to determine the best solution to their degree of hearin gloss, their hearing needs, and their budget.

Our consultation includes a detailed conversation with the patient and the companion explaining exactly what our hearing care expert is going to do for the patient. (We strongly encourage the spouse or family member to come with the patient for the process.)
Ear Exam:

We utilize a Digital Video Otoscope to make sure that there are no wax issues or physical damage to the ear. You'll see a large and clear view inside your own ear canal and ear drum on a color monitor. Your hearing loss could be caused simply by ear wax. Through this exam, we can also determine if there might be middle ear infections. Any time we find a potential problem, we refer our patients for the appropriate medical care. Our patients find this exam very interesting and it's included as part of your free evaluation.
Hearing Aid Fittings:

When it is determined that a patient has a sensorineural (nerve deafness) hearing loss, the only solution to better hearing is hearing aids.

We carry multiple brands, models and styles of hearing aids.. We prescribe the appropriate hearing aids for the patients hearing loss and lifestyle needs.

At Hearing of America, we demonstrate the hearing aids to the patient in our multi media fitting suite. This allows the patient to experience how the hearing aids are going to make them hear better in real world situations such as a shopping mall, an airport, a noisy restaurant and any other situation the patient spends time in to make sure the hearing aids are right for them.

With the new open fit technology available today, we can actually fit hearing aids on a patient the same day and let them experience better hearing immediately.
